The most interesting result for me has been to realize
the importance of using the proper technique when exercising
and to realize that the improper techniques I had been
doing has been the cause of my tennis elbow and neck and
shoulder problems...I have less discomfort in my joints
and less muscle soreness. I started with HomeBodies with
the desire to improve my workouts. I continue because I
know I am using proper form and have learned to use my
time wisely. I love the variety!

I had a stroke 5 years ago. I am seeing results. My personal
trainer is trying to help me as a whole person. She is
a good listener...about how I feel about what happened
to me. I can walk better and farther with the help of a
cane.
My range of motion has improved. I can even walk without
my cane for varying distances. I want to get better and/or
at least not lose what I've got.

I started with HomeBodies after a physical therapist from
Hinsdale Hospital recommended I do so. I need the exercise
and the discipline. My fitness trainer helps me maintain
my condition and prevent further deterioration.

I no longer have upper back/neck pain and muscle spasms
that were a problem for almost 20 years. My flexibility
and balance are improved enough to be noticeable in my
posture, skiing, whitewater paddling, and horseback riding.
I have been able to recover from surgery for torn ruptured
Achilles tendons and from other sports injuries, such as
a torn ACL, without any loss of function. I lowered my
body fat noticeably and I cut down on the inordinate amount
of time I used to spend training without any loss of aerobic
fitness or strength. In general, it's made more efficient
use of my training time.
I am training with a professional fitness trainer who
knows my history, weaknesses, goals, and who constantly
adjusts my training to meet my needs. For me, a fitness
program only works if it changes frequently. Otherwise,
I get into a training pattern that my body adjusts to and
I get no results. For me, overtraining can be more of a
problem than motivation. My trainer serves as a reliable
monitor on the level of training that I need. The advice
and monitoring from a competent training pro, who knows
my history and puts some careful thought into designing
and adjusting my training workouts, is the most important
factor in my personal health. I don't want to be without
this kind of help.

I have Parkinson's Disease and I firmly believe that without
exercise my condition would be much worse……it
also keeps my joints from getting stiff…my
balance has improved a lot. One reason I chose HomeBodies
is because it is easier for me to have someone come to
my house. It is so convenient. HomeBodies trainers are
all very knowledgeable and professional.

HomeBodies helped me improve flexibility after back surgery
which was important to me because I love to golf. The post-rehab
exercises recommended by my personal fitness trainer were
identical to those provided by my physical therapist which
made me feel confident when I was released from physical
therapy and got back into an exercise program. After back
surgery,
I wasn't sure I would be able to play golf like I used
to. I am driving the ball as far as I ever have without
the pain I used to experience.

To better meet our schedule, we actually work with a couple
of fitness trainers from HomeBodies and have worked with
several over the years. We have been happy with all of
them. Even though my husband and I train together, our
trainers really focus on our individual goals, needs and
limitations.
It seems as though the company really keeps the trainers
up-to-date and our workouts never get stale. Although our
fitness trainers are quite knowledgeable, they explain
everything in a language we can understand. We’re
always glad to see our trainer, even at 6 a.m. We are happy
when they leave too!

I was in a car accident and started training with a HomeBodies professional fitness
trainer after being released by the doctor. I could barely walk 5 minutes on
the
treadmill without being in pain. My trainer has been able to modify and progress
my program at a level my body can handle. I had tried several physical therapists
and exercise physiologists prior to HomeBodies and I was in severe pain after
their regimen. Now I can walk or bike over 40 minutes without stopping. More
importantly,
I can do household chores that I was unable to do three years ago. I am getting
my life back thanks to the professional fitness trainers at Home Bodies!
