| Do
I Need Equipment?
Not necessarily. Some people don't have
room for equipment or are not ready to make the investment.
If
you don't have exercise equipment, we will bring portable
fitness
training items such as rubber tubing, exercise balls,
foam rolls, etc. If you are interested in purchasing
exercise
equipment, your fitness trainer can help you decide
what would be best for you. We have some great resources.
How often should I train?
There is no magic answer here. Some people do
fitness training once a month while others train
five days a week.
Most of our clients work with our fitness trainers
2-3 times per week. Typically a person needs to workout
3-5
days per week to get results. However, you do not need
to workout with your fitness trainer every time you
workout. Your personal trainer will help you customize
a fitness
program that includes cardiovascular fitness, strength
training, flexibility training, and balance. You and
your trainer can decide what you will do on your
own and what
the trainer will help you do. If you are finding it
difficult to get workouts in on your own, you may
want to meet with
your fitness trainer more often. Some people find their
workouts with the trainer are just more effective than
what they can do on their own. You and your personal
trainer can decide what is best for you.
How is
a trainer selected for me?
We select a professional
fitness trainer for you based on your needs, your fitness
level, your personality
and what you tell us you want and need in a personal
trainer.
Sometimes a consistent schedule is most important
and then a trainer that is available during that
time frame would
be your first choice. If you would like to interview
the fitness trainer we have selected, we are happy
to arrange
a complimentary session.
What if I don't like the
trainer?
It is our philosophy to hire personal fitness
trainers with great communication skills who
can adapt to various
personalities. After you let us know what you
are looking for in a fitness trainer we are often able
to match
you with a trainer that will best work for you.
However, on occasion you may not like the professional
trainer
we’ve
chosen, for whatever reason. That's the nice
thing about having twelve trainers on staff.
If you are not
satisfied,
we are glad to have another trainer work with
you.
What does the workout consist of?
Everyone is different
and so your program is customized for you. Most of
the workouts
include a warmup, strength
training, flexibility, balance and agility
training. Cardiovascular training is incorporated
into
many workouts while some
clients prefer to do this on their own. The
amount of time in each area will depend upon the
individual's
needs and
goals.

Our SmartBodies
division has a fitness studio in Westmont,

basis.
What if I want to workout at
my club?
Some health clubs will allow outside
personal fitness trainers in to work
with their members
for a fee. Often
they will not. Our policy is to follow
the procedures for your club.
Can a friend
workout with me?
Sure! We do offer semi-private
fitness training sessions, which
allow two people
to work out together
and it is often
quite effective. Spouses and friends
will find this a great way to spend
time together.
Our
fees are
time and a half
for our semi-private sessions.
I would like to get a gift
for a friend/spouse. Can you do that?
Several of our clients started
by receiving a gift certificate from
someone
who cared
about them. You can
give fitness gift certificates in
any amount. Call the office and we
will
make the arrangements.
What if I
have limitations or injuries?
Our fitness pros are experienced
in working with a wide variety
of limitations and injuries.
We work closely
with your medical professional
to ensure your safety. If the condition
is severe,
we suggest
working
with a Senior
or Master Trainer with more experience and expertise. |
